Games. Games are activities that proceed according to rules, and divide participants into winners and losers. In some cases, the rules of a game allow two players to achieve equality, which is called a 'tie'. For example,in a game where two teams play against each other to earn points, both teams may score an equal number of points. This is called a 'tie' or a 'tied score'. Usually, one person achieves victory in a game, while the other is defeated. Some games do not allow a tied score,so they can never end in a tie,the outcome always produces a winner and a loser. Games can be divided into certain categories, for example, there are games of skill, and games of chance. A game of skill requires the skill of the player to achieve victory. In a game of skill,a skillful player would usually win, while an unskilled player would usually be defeated. In a game of chance,no skill is required, and the outcome of the game is determined by random chance. For example,a roll of the dice may determine how far a player advances in a game. Some games have an element of chance, but also involve an element of skill.
Gas. Gaseous fossil fuels, known simply as 'gas', also known as propane, LP (liquified petroleum) gas, etc, is often burned at oil refineries because it is considered to be a waste product. On January 30, 2014, a radio news broadcast said that in western North Dakota, approximately one million dollars worth of gas is burned every day, it's about 27% of the total. There was a lawsuit filed by people who were due royalties for the gas, they wanted to be paid royalties for the gas that was being wasted by the oil company, as well as being paid for the gas that was actually sold.
